Established in 1953, they have been producing commercial buses since 1981 and continue to be one of the largest custom bus manufacturers in the United States.

Champion was the first bus manufacturer to become QVM certified by the Ford Motor Company. They have also been ISO-certified since 1999 and are currently registered as ISO 9001:2008.
